Brave Fight Institute is a training and education platform for licensed clinicians who want to deliver gold-standard, evidence-based care to first responders, military members, veterans, and the families who love them. We also offer specialized therapy and coaching services for adults and couples. Founded in 2026, we’re the training and education arm of The Brave Fight.
The Brave Fight is an insurance-based clinical practice that serves clients in direct care. Brave Fight Institute is the training and education arm, where licensed clinicians learn the practices we use in our work. Both brands share the same mission: support long-term healing and prevent suicide in the communities where loss runs deepest.

Yes. A portion of proceeds from every Brave Fight Institute course supports Stay The Course Foundation, which provides access to mental health services for trauma-exposed communities, first responders, military, veterans, and their families.
Our growing catalog will include live and on-demand training, advanced courses, EMDR consultation, and specialty topics for licensed clinicians. Browse the full library on Thinkific for current offerings, course details, schedules, and registration.
Our courses are designed for licensed clinicians at the master’s level or higher. That includes LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, psychologists, and other licensed mental health professionals. Clinicians at any career stage are welcome, from newly licensed to seasoned practitioners.
No. While first responders, military, veterans, and their families are at the heart of why we built this institute, our core experience with EMDR applies to clinicians serving any population. The work we do is for clinicians who want gold-standard practices for the full spectrum of adverse life experiences.
On-demand courses include 1 year of access from the date of purchase, giving you the flexibility to learn on your own time.
EMDR Basic Training is delivered in two parts. Part 1 covers the foundations: the Adaptive Information Processing model, the 8-phase protocol, history-taking, assessment, desensitization, and initial reprocessing. Part 2 deepens application with cognitive interweaves, working through blocks, advanced topics like dissociation and neurodiversity, and protocols for specialized populations and recent events.
Each part includes lecture, demonstration, supervised practicum, and Q&A. After Part 2, participants complete 10 hours of EMDRIA-required consultation with an approved consultant. Total: 50 hours — 40 instructional hours plus 10 consultation hours, all of which must be completed within 12 months of beginning Part 1. Specific dates and times are listed on Thinkific. Completion requires attendance at all sessions in full and completion of all 10 consultation hours. Partial credit cannot be awarded.
This training is approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) as meeting standards for EMDR Basic Training.
EMDR Basic Training is open to licensed mental health professionals (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, and similar). Pre-licensed and intern-level clinicians actively working toward licensure under supervision are also eligible, as are graduate students currently in practicum or internship in an accredited mental health program. Graduate students will need written verification from their supervisor.
Coaches, case managers, and non-clinical support staff are not eligible unless enrolled in a clinical graduate program and working under supervision.
Live courses, including EMDR Basic Training, are delivered through a secure Zoom platform and meet EMDRIA’s standards for synchronous virtual delivery. The curriculum, practicum, and learning experience mirror what you’d get in person.
To participate, you’ll need:
Participants must attend all live training sessions in full to receive a certificate of completion. Late arrivals, early departures, or missed time may result in an incomplete status and require repeating the missed portion at an additional cost. Partial credit cannot be awarded.
After the cohort ends, all course materials — including recorded sessions and handouts — remain accessible for 60 days so you can revisit the content to reinforce your learning. Recordings are provided for reference, not as a substitute for live attendance.
Course pricing varies by format, length, and depth.
Shorter on-demand and specialty courses are priced accessibly. Specific pricing is listed on each course detail page on Thinkific.
